Who we are

This website is run by Anglo Polish Builders Limited (trading as Anglo-Polish Builders Ltd), registered in England and Wales, company number 10893630, registered office 37 Brookside Avenue, Ashford, TW15 3LZ. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.

What we collect through the enquiry form

When you send an enquiry we collect:

• your name, phone number, email address and postcode
• the type of work and your message
• the page you sent it from and the date and time

We use these details only to reply to your enquiry, arrange an estimate and, if you go ahead, carry out the work. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). We don’t use your details for marketing and we never sell them.

Where your enquiry is stored

Your enquiry is saved to a private Google Sheet (Google Workspace, provided by Google) and sent by email to our mailbox (ap.construction85@yahoo.com, provided by Yahoo). Only we can access them. These providers act as our processors and may store data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards.

We keep enquiries only for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. We then delete them.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and simple events (such as a tap on our phone number). It is cookieless and does not identify you or track you across other websites.

Some parts of the site load content from other companies:

• Google Maps: the home and contact pages show an embedded Google map of our location. When it loads, Google receives your IP address and may set cookies, under Google’s own privacy policy.
• Checkatrade: the “Review us on Checkatrade” button is loaded from checkatrade.com after you start using the page, which shares your IP address with Checkatrade and may set a security cookie.

If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is remembered in your browser’s local storage on this device only. Our private admin area uses a strictly necessary login cookie for the owner only.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email ap.construction85@yahoo.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Back to the contact page.
